How to install AXIS WinPoint for Windows 95 and NT 4.0
======================================================

  1. Start Microsoft Windows

  2. Go to the directory where the SETUP.EXE file for WinPoint 
     is located

  3. Run the SETUP.EXE file and follow the instructions on 
     the screen.


AXIS WinPoint
=============
  
  AXIS WinPoint software makes Configuration and Management of Axis Network
  Storage Servers simple and convenient. It runs on Windows 95 and NT 4.0 
  platforms with Microsoft Windows Network or Novell NetWare Network 
  (Client 32) using the Windows Explorer. AXIS WinPoint provides you with 
  the following facilities:
  
  * Presentation of AXIS Storage Servers in an "AXIS WinPoint" folder
    that is created under "My Computer" in the Explorer.
  
  * Possibility to set their IP addresses.
  
  * A Windows tool where you can do all Configuration and Management that 
    can be done via the built in Web support in the StorPoint units
    (accept for the disktool functions in the StorPoint HD for Jaz drives).

  * Launch of a Web browser, by clicking on a StorPoint unit, from which
    Management, Configuration and Disc/Disk access can be made.

  * Disc/Disk access.

  This is the 1.22 version of AXIS WinPoint.


  Software Requirements
  =====================
  
  AXIS WinPoint can be used with Windows 95 and NT 4.0 that runs the Windows
  Explorer.
  
  The network support requirements are:
   
  - Microsoft Windows Network (with NetBEUI or TCP/IP) or Novell Netware Network 
    (Client 32 with IPX)
  - TCP/IP protocol for launching a web browser (Not required for the Windows
    configuration tool)

  Software limitations
  ====================
  
  1. The following Axis Storage Server software releases are supported:

     AXIS 850/851 and 950/951 CD-ROM server
      - 2.10 and above for Microsoft Windows Network

     AXIS StorPoint CD
      - 3.00 and above for Microsoft Windows Network
      - 4.00 and above for Novell Netware Network (Client 32).

     AXIS StorPoint HD for Jaz drives
      - 1.00 and above for Microsoft Windows Network

  2. Before uninstalling or upgrading WinPoint, all Explorer windows should
     be closed.



  Added features in version 1.22:

  1. Support of more foreign operating systems.

  2. Upgraded support of AXIS StorPoint CD
     Better support of software versions 4.22 and above for the AXIS
     StorPoint CD.



  Version 1.20:
  =============
  New:
  *  Support of AXIS StorPoint HD server for Jaz drives
     WinPoint can now be used for configuring and managing the AXIS
     StorPoint HD server for Jaz drives, in the same way as for the AXIS
     StorPoint CD server, and the AXIS 850/851 and 950/951 CD-ROM server.

  *  Upgraded support of AXIS StorPoint CD
     Better support of software versions 4.20 and above for the AXIS
     StorPoint CD.

  Bug fixes:
  *  File error handling
     Better error handling of non-accessible files on the server.
