AXIS Wireless Printing Utility 1.00 TABLE OF CONTENTS * Requirements * Installation * Uninstallation * Troubleshooting Requirements: 1. Connect the Axis Bluetooth print server to the printer and verify by pressing the test button. A test page should now be printed on the printer, which shows the Bluetooth address of the print server. 2. A PC-card from Motorola, Toshiba, IBM, Dell or NEC (i.e. a OEM version of Digianswer cards). 3. Install Bluetooth Software Suite 1.07. This is done by installing a 1.0x version of the software and then the btsws_107_patch_final.exe which will upgrade to version 1.07. http://btsws.digianswer.com Installation: 1. Run the setup_1_00.exe which will install AXIS Wireless Printing Utility. Reboot the computer after installation. Uninstallation: 1. Run the installation program again or select the Add/Remove in the Control Panel. Troubleshooting: 1. Use Bluetooth Neighbourhood to search for the print server. 2. Verify that the default printer object "Axis Wireless Printer" was created by the setup program. If not,follow these steps: (See the help file for more information) * Create a new Printer object with the name "Axis Wireless Printer". * Use a suitable printer driver e.g. "HP LaserJet III". * Connect the printer object to the "Axis Wireless Port". 3. Verify that there are at least three serial COM ports in Bluetooth Neighborhood. 4. Creating Additional Wireless Printers: The default printer object "Axis Wireless Printer" uses a standard PCL driver that is supported by most printers. If you use a printer that does not support PCL 3, you will need to create additional printer objects. This is done by creating a printer object with the suitable driver and connecting the printer object to the "Axis Wireless Port". The name of these printer objects can be whatever you find suitable.
