  Release description:

  1. Added RAW as a new TCP/IP Printing protocol.
  2. Improved the handling of multiple Network adapters, which
     sometimes prevented NetBIOS/NetBEUI printing. 
  3. Improved the cancel print job for the NetBIOS/NetBEUI
     protocol. Sometimes the Print Server was not notified 
     that the print job was canceled, and therefore did not
     accept the next print job. 
  4. The Print Monitor can now print documents with the 
     empty name "", using the LPR protocol, which some 
     programs named their documents before submitting.
  5. Handles shutdown problems on some Windows 95/98 and on 
     some laptops, which caused Windows to stop the

  Appendix A - TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE RELEASE                1(1)

 1. The new RAW TCP/IP printing protocol is added as an  
    improvement to the LPR/LPD protocol. The RAW protocol
    does not need the additional spooling of print jobs as
    it is done while printing LPR/LPD jobs.
 2. Improved the handling of multiple Network adapters, which
    sometimes prevented NetBIOS/NetBEUI printing. 
 3. Improved the cancel print job for the NetBIOS/NetBEUI
    protocol. Sometimes the Print Server was not notified 
    that the print job was canceled, and therefore did not
    accept the next print job. The problem occurred when
    canceling a big print job immediately after submitting it.
    The print monitor received the command from Windows to 
    connect to the print server, but never received the 
    actual print job to send. 

 4. The Print Monitor can now print documents with the 
    empty name "". Some special program did not name their
    printing documents. This was not handled correctly while
    printing on the LPR protocol. 

 5. Handles shutdown problems on some Windows 98 and on 
    some laptops, which caused Windows to stop the
    shutdown process. Windows 98 waits until all programs
    has terminated before completing the shutdown process.
    The print monitor sometimes failed to react on the 
    shutdown signal. 
  



  Appendix B - SOFTWARE LIMITATIONS                                1(1)

  AXIS Print Monitor runs on Intel X86 platforms.
 
  When running the Add Printer wizard immediately after the
  monitor is installed or after reboot, the list with available
  AXIS Ports may be empty. Go back in the wizard, wait and retry
  to get the list with AXIS Ports.

  Due to a limitation in Windows, it is not possible to
  print from DOS on the machine where AXIS Print Monitor is
  installed. If AXIS Print Monitor is installed on a server,
  it is possible to print from DOS from the clients.

  On shared printers in Windows 95, the status of the printer
  is not reported to the clients. Windows has no mechanism for
  reporting printer status to clients. 

  Printing small print jobs ( <4 kb) using the LPR protocol to
  Print Servers with V5.30 software version can cause the Print
  Servers to hang. It must be restarted again. Please upgrade
  those Print Servers with new software.

  The error pop-up message does not disappear until the user
  either presses the Retry or Cancel button, even if the print
  job is finished.

  It is not possible for the Print Monitor to finish other print
  jobs while a LPR print job is printing on Windows 95. 
  Therefore it is not recommended to use LPR printing in a 
  client-server configuration with Windows 95 as the server.

  While printing using the LPR protocol, the progress count in
  the Windows print queue does not correspond to the actual
