          New scanner drivers:

          - Visioneer 9450 USB
          - Visioneer 9650 USB


          New features:

          - The LDAP client is upgraded and communication with LDAPv3
            servers is now supported          
          - E-mail address retrieval using LDAP is more efficient 
            and the handling of large address lists is improved
          - E-mail addresses can now be fetched from more than one 
            container on the LDAP server. Example for the Search Base
            field: (ou=Sales,o=MyCompany)(ou=Marketing,o=MyCompany) 
          - It is now possible to set the Num Lock, Caps Lock and 
            Scroll Lock modes for the optional keyboard
            This is done in the admin pages under:
            Admin/This AXIS 70U/Edit/International. Settings 
            will take effect after restart. 

 
          Corrected problems:
          
          - Some image problems with Avision AV600U
          - Plug out and then plug in of the scanner did not work as 
            expected on Fujitsu fi-4010CU and HP 7400 series.
          - Corrected calibration for Fujitsu fi-4010CU
          - The Epson Perfection 1660/Photo was not recognized
          - Power save problem with Epson Perfection 1660/Photo
          - Long term stability improved 
          - National characters when loading E-mail addresses
            from the LDAP server.
          - A security issue with some web pages solved
         

          Known problems: 

          - Time setting using MS NT does not work
          - Transparency adapters for any scanner is currently
            not supported.
          - For HP 7400C series max resolution used is 600 dpi
          - When a HP 7400C series scanner goes into power save mode
            it can take 90-120 seconds before the scanner start 
            after a scanning is initiated.
          - When an Avision 600U, Fujitsu fi-4010CU or 
            Visoneer 9450/9650 scanner goes in to power save mode 
            it can take 15-20 seconds before the scanner start 
            after a scanning is initiated.  
          - Scanner name shown in the AXIS 70U display at power-on
            can be different from the name/model on the scanner 
            casing. This is due to regional/OEM name issues. 
          

          Recommendation:

          - As the default e-mail reply address in the AXIS 70U is
            blank it might be necessary to set it to a valid address
            to avoid mails being rejected as spam by some mail servers.
