Relay Commands
|
To use the relays available in the unit, auxiliary commands are provided.
The base URL looks like the following:
http://<axis-videoserver-ip>/axis-cgi/com/ptz.cgi?camera=<n>&auxiliary=<relay-command>
<axis-videoserver-ip> specifies the IP-address of the Axis Video Server.
<n> specifies the camera number(default = 1) in the Axis Video Server.
<relay-command> is specified as follows(see limitations below):
-
- relay1:on
- Activates relay1
- relay1:off
- Deactivates relay1
- relay2:on
- Activates relay2
- relay2:off
- Deactivates relay2
- relay3:on
- Activates relay3
- relay3:off
- Deactivates relay3
Limitations for relays 1 and 2.
Only one of the relays 1 and 2 can be activated at the same time (e.g. if the relay 2 is activated and the "realy1:on" command is sent, the relay 2 will be deactivated and the relay 1 will be activated). Use the parameters "Relay1OnTime" and "Relay2OnTime" (see below) to configurate the activation time for the relay 1 and 2.
Limitations for relay 3.
When sending the command "realy3:on", relay 1 or relay 2 will be deactivated and the relay 3 will be activated. If relay 3 is already activated, relay 1 or relay 2 can be activated. When sending the command "realy3:off", relay 1 or relay 2 will also be deactivated.

Continuous (joystick) movements.
|
The driver and the PTZ-unit don't support combined movements. Only one continuous (joystick) movement can be performed at the same time. If one movement request is performed, all other requests will be ignored. If we get a request for pan/tilt movements, the biggest of the pan and tilt movement will be performed and all other requests ignored. The remaining requsets (zoom, focus and iris) are checked and performed. The first request will be performed and the remaining ignored.
|
|
Combined relative PTZ movements.
|
The driver and the PTZ-unit don't support combined movements. Combined movements will be performed one by one after each other.
|
|
On-screen display.
|
Only the "Open" and "Close" commands are supported(see below). All other commands are ignored. The on-screen display might not be supported on all Harristech/camera units.

Parameter |
Description |
Range |
MoveSpeed |
The current maximum pan and tilt speed. |
1 - 100 |
PanMoveTimePerDegree |
The calibration constant for pan movements [0.1 msec/deg]. Higher values give larger movements. |
1 - 50000 |
TiltMoveTimePerDegree |
The calibration constant for tilt movements [0.1 msec/deg]. Higher values give larger movements. |
1 - 50000 |
CurrentFieldAngle |
The calibration constant [deg] for click-in-picture (center). Higher values give greater movements. Calibrate at minimum zoom (i.e. zoom wide) and at the most commonly used speed, by making sure that clicking on an object brings the object to the center of the image. |
1 - 1800 |
PanBarRange |
Range (in degrees) to use with "panbar" requests. Clicking at the very end of the bar will pan half this value in the corresponding direction. |
1 - 720 |
TiltBarRange |
Range (in degrees) to use with "tiltbar" requests. Clicking at the very end of the bar will tilt half this value in the corresponding direction. |
1 - 720 |
ZoomSpeed |
The current zoom speed. |
1 - 100 |
ZoomTime |
The calibration constant for zoom (time in ms for maximum zoom change). Higher values give greater zoom changes. Calibrate by confirming that a maximum zoom request at one extreme (e.g. zoom wide) takes you to the other. |
1 - 150000 |
FocusSpeed |
The current focus speed. |
1 - 100 |
FocusTime |
The calibration constant for focus (time in ms for maximum focus change). Higher values give greater focus changes. Calibrate by confirming that a maximum focus request at one extreme (e.g. focus near) takes you to the other. |
1 - 150000 |
Relay1OnTime |
The activation time (pulse time in ms) for relay 1. If activation time is set to "0", the timing function will be disabled. See also limitations for the "Relay Commands" above. |
0 - 10000 |
Relay2OnTime |
The activation time (pulse time in ms) for relay 2. If activation time is set to "0", the timing function will be disabled. See also limitations for the "Relay Commands" above. |
0 - 10000 |
MaxDevicePresetnbr |
The maximum number of supported presets. The default value is 6. Note! Some PTZ units may only support 4 presets. |
1 - 255 |
PanSpeedCompensation |
The calibration constant used to compensate for non-linear pan speed values. A value of "0" will disable the compensation. Higher values will compensate with higher pan speeds and lower values will compensate with lower pan speeds. First tune the parameters PanMoveTimePerDegree and TiltMoveTimePerDegree at max. speed. Then set the MoveSpeed-parameter to 50% and adjust the PanSpeedCompensation and TiltSpeedCompensation by click-in-image; increase this calibration constant if the pan movement is too small, or reduce if the movement is too large. |
-100 - 100 |
TiltSpeedCompensation |
The calibration constant used to compensate for non-linear tilt speed values. A value of "0" will disable the compensation. Higher values will compensate with higher tilt speeds and lower values will compensate with lower tilt speeds. First tune the parameters PanMoveTimePerDegree and TiltMoveTimePerDegree at max. speed. Then set the MoveSpeed-parameter to 50% and adjust PanSpeedCompensation and TiltSpeedCompensation by click-in-image; increase this calibration constant if the tilt movement is too small, or reduce if the movement is too large. |
-100 - 100 |
Go To Preset Delay |
Time (in seconds) it takes for the image to stabilize it self, after the camera has performed the longest "goto preset action". Used for disabling/enabling image analysis (e.g. motion detection). |
