Leave Port field blank for ICMP Ping, or enter a port number for TCP check.
The devicecan ping a network device to check its availability e.g. a FTP or NTP server. Successful and unsuccessful connection attempts are logged in the system log file, will be included in a system monitoring session and can be used as a trigger in the device's event system. The "Threshold" will define after how many failed connection attempts an action rule may trigger.
