New features in 3.06
====================

- Each created virtual camera gets its own MAC address based on serial number.

- When one video source, recording or live material, is streamed to several clients, 
each stream is delayed a random number of frames to avoid that the I-frames are sent 
to all clients at exactly the same time -straining the network. 
  Note that only MPEG4 and H.264 and not MJPEG is handled this way since for MJPEG 
all frames are complete.

- Implementation of an ST client capable of connecting to an ST server.
This is only for internal testing by Axis Video Hosting Systems.

- One or more Virtual Cameras can be updated with a Template.

Note: Now requires .NET 4.0 (which is not supported by Windows 2000).

Installation
============

- Run the self-extracting AXISVirtualCameraSetup.exe file.

- Make sure you have full administrator rights on the computer you install 
  on.


Uninstallation
=============

- Click 'Remove' for AXIS Virtual Camera under 
  Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs


Requirements
============

- Supported OS; see beginning of this document.
- Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
- LAN access to one or more supported Axis cameras. (Cameras behind a web proxy are not supported.)


Recommendations
===============

- Run Windows Update prior to installation to ensure you have the latest 
  updates for your Operating System and .NET Framework from Microsoft. 


Known limitations
=================

- The new /axis-media/media.amp URI is supported and resolution, fps, camera, videocodec* and audio is respected. 
  (*=Only "mpeg4" and "h264" supported, not mjpeg streaming over rtp/rtsp.)

- There may be some connection issues between the Virtual Camera and AMC when using a live stream containing H.264 and Audio. 
  Disabling Audio resolves this issue.

- Recordings using "Unicast RTP" may not work correctly if there is a lot of packet loss while recording.

- Bonjour announcements is no longer available

- RTCP is not supported.

- Scaling of MJPEG streams are no longer supported, use multiple recordings instead.

- Installing version 2.01 will not remove version 2.00. Run the uninstaller for 2.00 to uninstall it.

- IPv6 is not supported.

- Resolution names have fixed pixel resolutions. (CIF = 352x288, 4CIF = 704x576, QCIF = 176x144, VGA = 704x576, 2CIF = 704x288, 2CIFEXP = 704x576)
