 AXIS IP JumpStarter(TM) is an application that allows you to assign 
 IP addresses to your Axis print servers in an easy way. 


 Operation System and Firmware Requirements

 Software Requirements
 ---------------------

 The AXIS IP JumpStarter installation requires about 1 MB of hard disk space. 

 The AXIS IP JumpStarter requires that TCP/IP is installed.

 AXIS IP JumpStarter supports the following platforms: 

 Windows 95* / 98 / Me 

 Windows NT 4.0 / 2000 / XP

 * In some versions of Windows 95, some of the system DLLs needs to be 
 updated. See the Troubleshooting section for more information. 

 Supported Axis Products
 -----------------------

 Not all firmware versions for the Axis print servers are compatible with
 AXIS IP JumpStarter. To find out which firmware versions that support AXIS
 IP JumpStarter, you should take a look at the AXIS IP JumpStarter software
 home page on the Axis Web site, http://www.axis.com/. 


 Installing AXIS IP JumpStarter
 ==============================

 1. Start Microsoft Windows. 
 2. Locate the setup file, IPJumpStarter100.exe. 
 3. Run the IPJumpStarter100.exe file and follow the instructions on the screen. 


 Uninstalling AXIS IP JumpStarter
 ================================

 1. Start Microsoft Windows. 
 2. Open the Control Panel. 
 3. Run Add/Remove Programs. 
 4. Choose AXIS IP JumpStarter and press the Add/Remove... button. 


 Troubleshooting
 ===============

 Problem:
 ---------
 AXIS IP JumpStarter cannot be started because a network connection cannot be 
 established.

 Solution A:
 -----------
 Check that TCP/IP is installed on your computer. If not, install if from your
 Windows installation disc. 

 Solution B: NOTE: Only for Windows 95.
 --------------------------------------

 The system DLLs regarding Windows Socket 2 has to be updated. The windows 
 Socket 2 Update for Microsoft Windows 95 can be downloaded from the Microsoft
 Web site.

 Problem:
 ---------

 AXIS IP JumpStarter cannot be started because the required system DLL 
 ws2_32.dll is missing.

 Solution:
 ---------
 See solution B above. 


 Problem:
 ---------
 AXIS IP JumpStarter cannot be started because the IP input fields cannot be 
 displayed correctly.

 Solution:
 ---------
 The system DLL comctl32.dll needs to be updated. The Microsoft Windows Common 
 Controls update can be downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. 
 Use the latest file for x86 (e.g., 50comupd.exe (x86)).

 Problem:

 Your Axis server does not appear in the list.
