It can set IP addresses, discover and group print servers, install new firmware and configure multiple Axis products concurrently. AXIS ThinWizard is available for free at http://www.axis.com. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Added features in version 6.16.3 ================================ No new features. Corrected problems in version 6.16.3 ==================================== In order to prevent print jobs from being started, when the printer is not able to print the job due to power down or printer failure, two methods have been implemented. 1) SNMP status. The SNMP status returned, has been changed, so that the host (Windows 2000/XP) will not start sending until the printer is online. 2) LPD negative ack. Instead of always accepting the print job as before, the print servers response is now depending on the printer status. A negative ack will be sent as long the printer is powered down or as long the printer is reporting a printer failure (offline situation). This second method is useful, when the host is running Windows NT. Known problems in version 6.16.3 ================================ HP WebJetadmin is neither tested nor supported with this release. AXIS ThinWizard is recommended instead. Succesful paralell-port "flash-loading" might require two, or more attempts in some cases. Support for Checksums in Netware is not implemented. Reverse data from the APS ports is disabled. Users are recommended to use the native print monitor on Win2000/XP.
