 Added features in version 7.00

   in the IPDS PCL driver.

 Corrected problems in version 7.00
 ==================================

 - Improved support in Mac OS X for a number of Epson laser printers.

 - The IPDS PCL5 driver scales downloaded raster fonts incorrectly. The
   characters were a little bit too big and were also clipped in the right
   and lower edges. This problem has been corrected.

 - Corrected two PCL5 font mappings (FGID 87 and 222) in the IPDS PCL driver. 

 - Horizontal text and overlay positioning in the IPDS PCL driver is improved.

 - A problem with lines drawn with the IPDS PCL driver being
   incorrectly positioned and trimmed is corrected.

 - IPDS barcodes are now printing correctly in all printer emulations,
   irrespective of the emulated printer resolution and selected printer driver.

 - Corrected four font mappings (5687, 5707, 5815 and 5835) in the IPDS PCL3
   driver.

 - Improved performance by limiting simultaneous raw tcp connections to 5 per
   tcp port. Previously, printing clients could consume the print
   server's memory if the printer was e.g. powered off.

 - The Delete Job functionality is improved, now it is possible to delete 
   "hanging" jobs as well. N.B. This is limited to the parallel port.
                
 - If the print server receives the domain name option via DHCP, the value is
   validated before the parameter is set.
    
 - The tcp handling of retransmissions is improved. Data loss is now less 
   frequent in tcp sessions where the amount of data retransmission is high.

 - A TCP/IP problem which could cause network disturbances has been corrected.

 - Improved USB printing performance by buffering data until a larger chunk 
   can be sent to the printer.


 Known limitations in version 7.00
 =================================

 - If upgrading from a firmware release earlier than 6.42, the DHCP parameter 
   will be set to the default value, i.e. enabled. Thus after upgrading from
   these old releases any static IP parameters, such as the IP address, will
   be replaced with values obtained with DHCP. 

   We are very sorry for the inconvenience this might cause you.

 - Axis ThinWizard is the recommended management tool to use with this print
   server. HP WebJetadmin is  neither tested nor supported with this release.

 - Support for Checksums in Netware is not implemented.

 - The delete button in the web-interface does not work for the usb-port

 - Select standard TCP/IP port when configuring system for peer-to-peer 
   printing in Windows environment. Printing with the AXIS Port Monitor to
   USB-printers will most likely cause the Print Server to "hang". 

 - If there is an SLP directory agent on the network and the 
   slp-directory-agent option (RFC 2165) is used by the dhcp server, the Print 
   Servers will most likely end up in a non recoverable endless loop.

 - If the print server receives a NDS tree name via dhcp, and the new name
   differs from the one stored in the print server, then the print server will
   keep on rebooting forever. The solution is either to disable the NDS tree 
   option on the DHCP server, or to configure the print server on a network
   where no DHCP server is present.

 - FW 7.00 is not fully compatible with TW 3.00.  The Print Server 
   name will be missing and the Status reported by TW 3.0 will be wrong. 
   For full functionality please use TW 3.04, or higher. TW 3.04 is 
   estimated to be released no later than Feb 4 2005.
