New features in 7.30.1 since 7.20.1 ================================================================================ 7.30.1:F1 The FTP Server is now disabled by default as it is not used during normal operation and may pose a security risk.The FTP Server may be enabled during advanced maintenance or troubleshooting in Settings -> System -> PlainConfig -> Network. 7.30.1:F2 Support for Brute Force Delay Protection. The product can block a client for a period of time if too many login attempts failed. Brute Force Delay Protection can be configured under System -> PlainConfig -> System -> System PreventDoSAttack. 7.30.1:F3 Support for automatic license key installation when installing an ACAP under Settings -> Apps. 7.30.1:F4 A parameter called "Enable the script editor (editcgi)" has been added to plain config -> system section to enable/disable the feature. This makes it possible for an ONVIF client to get e.g. the bitrate range of the camera. 7.20.1:F2 The Axis On Screen Crontrols add-on makes it possible for Axis Camera Station (ACS) or a VMS to get information about various features of the camera. Known Bugs/Limitations ================================================================================ 7.30.1:L1 Video streaming H.264 for Safari has been temporarily disabled in the web- interface because of an bug in the Safari browser. 7.30.1:L2 If the highest resolution is set on a view area, the full image (i.e. not the cropped out view area) will be shown. 7.30.1:L3 Connecting to a camera will fail and result in "Unauthorized" message due to an bug in Microsoft Edge 40 browser. This will be corrected by Microsoft in the next version of Edge 41. 7.30.1:L4 An overlay text (e.g. date/time modifier) that has been configured in the classic web-interface will be still shown in the new web-interface even though a user might have disabled the overlay text there after firmware update. A user need to disable the overlay text first in the classic web-interface using http ://ip-address/index.shtml. 7.30.1:L5 IEEE 802.1x configuration does not work in Microsoft Edge. 7.30.1:L6 Corrected an issue that let the camera display black spots in the image on rare occasions. 7.20.1:L1 IR illumination turns off when scene is changed from a bright environment to an even brighter one when manually activated through the web interface. 7.20.1:L2 Recording streams to SD Card with total bit rate above 12Mbit/sec may cause missing frames/sequences. 7.20.1:L3 The following features in Settings -> System will be displayed in English only as for now: Certificates, ONVIF, HTTPS, IEEE 802.1x, SNMP, Events, Stream profiles and Detectors. The current chosen language will not have any affect there. 7.20.1:L4 Corrected an issue that made the overlay text disappear when a client requested a new video stream. 7.20.1:L5 It is recommended to perform a factory default after downgrading the cameras firmware if needed. 7.20.1:L6 Features currently explained in the help files may not be supported in the camera. 7.20.1:L7 Camera is not inserting a new I-frame when a 2nd client requests a video stream via multicast through RTSP which results in additional waiting time before video streaming starts. 7.20.1:L8 Videos that have been recorded using the video capture feature in live view may not be playable some media players (e.g. VLC) as it is in an fragmented MP4 format without total video duration. 7.20.1:L9 It is not possible to start video streaming when the requesting client asked for a invalid or not supported resolution.
