           Release Description
           ===================
 
           Changes since release 1.11:
 
           Scanner Drivers:
 
           - Support for Sharp digital copiers in the AR-series: AR-405, 
             AR-S400 and future models. For more information about 
             supported models, please contact Sharp.
           - The selected resolution is now adjusted to the nearest
             supported value by the scanner/digital copier instead of the
             nearest lower (currently applies only to the Sharp AR-drivers).
           - The connected scanner/digital copier is now detected even if it
             is started/turned on after the AXIS 700 (not Ricoh Aficio 401
             based machines).
 
          
           Paper Sizes:
 
           - B4 JIS and B5 JIS added. These paper sizes will be available
             after a 'Restore Predefined Paper Sizes' via the web 
             configuration or a factory default. 
             		
 
           Corrected problems:
 
           - Scan-to-URL should now send e-mail messages that are correct 
             according to the SMTP standard.
           - When scanning black & white with Fujitsu/Avision scanners the
             intensity parameter now affects the threshold.
           - Better support for access through some proxy servers like 
             Novell Border Manager and Netscape Proxy Server.
           - DHCP tries to renew the lease with the same IP address as it
             got from the server last time.
           - Potential DHCP memory leak fixed.
           - The Scan (+) key now works with Canon GP-215 when scanning 
             multiple sets of documents from the ADF. 
           - The TIFF encoder did not detect out of memory in some
             instances which resulted in software lock-up. 
           - The pre-defined paper sizes for Photo 3.5" x 5", Photo 4" x 6" 
             and Business Card have had their width and height exchanged,
             to match all the other paper sizes regarding portrait/landscape.
             These paper sizes will be available after a 'Restore Predefined
             Paper Sizes' via the web configuration or a factory default. 
           - ADF for HP 6200/6250 now accepts paper lengths up to 14",
             (355 mm)
 
 
           Known problems:
 
           - For Ricoh Aficio 401, Gestetner 3240, Nashuatec D440 and 
             Rex Rotary 2840 the scan mode must be activated on the 
             digital copier before the scan server is booted. Gray scale 
             is currently not supported for these digital copiers.
           - The Scan (+) key does not work for multiple sets of documents
             fed via the ADF on Ricoh Aficio 401 based machines.  
           - Ricoh IS01/420/430 non-common image size and resolution may
             result in a scanner lock-up. 
           - Some Web browsers shows garbage characters on some web pages.
           - Scanning PDF files to Internet Explorer does not work.
           - Saving JPEG images in Internet Explorer does not work without
             reload, which will result in a second scanning.
           - ADF of HP 4si gives SCSI error. This problem was introduced
             with 1.11. 

         
           Known problems when upgrading from releases earlier than 1.10:
 
           - The server password will be reset to 'pass' after upgrading.
           - The scan-to-file index file will be turned OFF for all FTP
             destinations when upgrading to this release. 
           - The mail server field will be set to 'mail' regardless of 
             previous value.
