             Important:            

             - Make a back-up of current settings before upgrading or 
               downgrading. This can be done by uploading the config.ini
               file via FTP. See User's Manual for more information. 


             Release Description           
             ===================

             Changes since release 1.14:

             - The PDF rotation option is now set to "No" as default.
             - Supported scanners web page has been updated.


             Corrected problems:

             - A security issue regarding the web pages.
             - The DR3020 driver support page sizes up to and 
               including B4 JIS.
             - Improved gamma correction (intensity/contrast) table 
               calculations for the Canon copiers.
             - Some French messages have been corrected.
             - Retransmission of lost TCP frames will be done faster than 
               before.
             - Retrieving all MIB-II parameters using SNMP should no 
               longer end up in an infinitive loop.
             - DHCP will work better in most situations, for example when 
               there are connections to several DHCP servers.
             - The Sharp AR driver has better support for 
               "Add" button scanning.
             - Downloading a big list from an LDAP server will not hang 
               the AXIS 700.
             

             Known problems:

             - For Ricoh Aficio 401 based machines the scan mode must be
               activated on the digital copier before the scan server is 
               booted. 
             - For Ricoh Afico 401 based machines papers must be inserted
               upside down in ADF to get scanned images in correct order. 
             - Ricoh IS01/420/430 non-common image size and resolution may
               result in a scanner lock-up.
             - Some old Web browsers shows garbage characters on some web 
               pages.
             - Scanning PDF files to Internet Explorer with releases 
               before 5.0 does not work.
             - Saving JPEG images in Internet Explorer does not work 
               without reload, which will result in a second scanning.
             - ADF of HP 4si gives SCSI error. This problem was introduced
               with 1.11.
             - For Digital Copiers, except Sharp, every second page will be 
               scanned upside down when scanning in duplex. The new PDF
               rotate option solve this for the PDF file format.
             - Transparency adapter for HP6390C scanner is currently not 
               supported.
             - IP setting with BOOTP does not work with some BOOTP daemons.
   

                      
             Known problems when upgrading from releases earlier than 1.10:

             - The server password will be reset to 'pass' after upgrading.
             - The scan-to-file index file will be turned OFF for all FTP
               destinations when upgrading to this release.
             - The mail server field will be set to 'mail' regardless of
               previous value.


             Recommendations:

             - For Ricoh Aficio 340/350/450 based machines it is 
               recommended to decrease the System Reset time on the copier
               to 10 seconds to earlier free the machine after scanning has
               been finished.
             - As the default e-mail reply address in the AXIS 700 is blank
               it might be necessary to set it to a valid address to avoid 
               mails being rejected as spam by some mail servers.
